Kathy Hollingsworth CF2, FRC®
Founder
L. Kathryn Hollingsworth is the founder of Wealth Management of America, where she provides retirement-focused investment advisory services. A proud graduate of Birmingham-Southern College, Kathryn originally built her career in the media industry, spending over two decades in radio and television.
Driven by a passion to serve others, Kathy transitioned into community leadership as director of one of central Alabama’s largest senior centers. For more than five years, she worked directly with aging populations, helping them navigate the social, health, and financial challenges of retirement—a foundation that continues to inform her client-first approach today.
Kathy is an Investment Adviser Representative, holding the Series 65 license and offering fee-based investment advisory services through Gradient Advisors, LLC, an SEC Registered Investment Adviser. She adheres to a fiduciary standard, meaning she is legally and ethically committed to placing her clients’ interests first.
She also holds the designations of:
- Certified Financial Fiduciary® (CF2)
- Federal Retirement Consultant® (FRC®)
These credentials reflect her focus on ethical conduct, financial education, and retirement preparedness. Kathy supports both private-sector and public-service clients in aligning income, tax considerations, Social Security, and healthcare costs into a clear and strategic retirement plan.
Separate from her work with Wealth Management of America, Kathy is a licensed life and health insurance agent and licensed mortgage loan officer (NMLS #212553). These services are provided through separate entities and not through Wealth Management of America or Gradient Advisors, LLC.
She now resides in Huntsville, Alabama, where she enjoys time with her daughter Leslie, grandson Konner, and her two dogs, Sallie and Sassy.
To love what we do, and feel that it matters. How could anything be more fun and rewarding.
(Psalm 128:2: When you eat the labor of your hands, You shall be happy, and it shall be well with you.)
